Relaxing Massage in Geneva: A Moment to Slow Down

What makes a good massage?

For some, a good massage simply means being able to close your eyes, almost fall asleep, and leave the tension and stress of the day behind. A moment to switch off, stop thinking and take a little time for yourself.

For others, it’s more like: “You found exactly the spot that was hurting!” — and appreciating it when that area gets a little extra attention.

And for others still, it’s the realization that their physical condition is not going to get worse, but will actually improve.

Some people like gentle, enveloping pressure. Others prefer a firmer massage, with that feeling of “it hurts a little, but it feels good.” There are also those who come regularly as part of a healthy lifestyle, and those who come on the advice of a loved one or a doctor.

Everyone has their own definition

After 24 years of practicing massage in Geneva and years of teaching, I have come to see how essential it is to offer a tailor-made massage. We don’t all have the same sensitivity, the same tension or the same expectations. A massage that one person finds perfect may seem too gentle or too firm to someone else.

That’s why I don’t apply the same protocol to everyone. I prefer to observe, listen and adapt my work to what I feel under my hands and what you ask of me. Even though I avoid talking during the treatment, I will occasionally check, for example, whether the pressure suits you.

Relaxing massage: when stress takes its toll

This is a full-body massage, performed on a table with high-quality plant-based oils, alternating gentle strokes, effleurage and deeper pressure according to your needs.

Stress, fatigue and days spent in the same position can cause stiffness, especially in the back, shoulders and neck. Relaxing massage gently works on these areas and helps you become aware of your body in a new way.

The movements are fluid and gradual. The aim is not to seek pain or heavy pressure at all costs. The idea is rather to find the rhythm that allows you to let go.

During the session, you may want silence or music, feel like chatting a little, or simply let yourself be carried by the massage. What matters is being able to enjoy this moment your way.

Say what you like (before and during the treatment)

Communication matters, and the key word is comfort. You can tell me what you enjoy or what you would rather avoid before the massage, but also at any time during the session. The massage is a moment we create together.

If you have significant pain or a particular health problem, it is best to let me know before your appointment.
