Massages for your well-being

What makes a good massage?

For some, it’s falling asleep and leaving behind the tensions and stresses of daily life—a moment of escape.

For others, it’s feeling that “this therapist has found my tension(s) and is really working on them!”

For others, it’s the realization that their physical condition won’t get worse, but will actually improve.

For others, it’s simply the feeling that “it hurts a little, but it feels good at the same time.”

For others, it’s a preventive measure against joint and muscle pain and a personal choice for those who prefer bodywork over anti-inflammatory or pain-relief medications.

Others come on the recommendation of a friend or a doctor.

The list doesn’t end there, but these are the most common reasons I’ve observed over 24 years of practicing massage in Geneva.

There are many massage techniques, pressure levels, and so on, and I encourage you to speak up without hesitation about what you like or dislike, before or during your appointment.

Have you ever had a massage?

It’s a good idea to have your first massage performed by a professional; otherwise, you may simply not reap the full benefits and will only experience a limited version of them.

Professional Standards and Comfort

The practice is equipped with a reception area and restrooms.

The massage will promote elimination. Please don’t hesitate to use the restroom if you need to go several times, or if you feel cold or hot, otherwise you won’t be able to relax.

On your part, I ask that you maintain good hygiene (be clean and avoid excessive perfume), arrive on time for your appointments, and notify me in advance if you are unable to attend.

Training

The various massage techniques in which I am trained are:

  • Relaxing massage (also known as Swedish massage)

  • Toning and energizing massage (also known as sports massage)

  • Prenatal massage, where I position the client on their side in a very comfortable position

  • Traditional Japanese massage: Shiatsu, performed on the floor while fully clothed on a futon

  • Lomi-lomi massage (Hawaiian massage)

  • Reboutologie® (joint and nerve/knot massage)

  • Couples massage, parent/child side-by-side

  • Foot reflexology

  • Workplace chair massage
