.: Reflexology
This is a workout on the reflex zones. The term "reflex"
in this case must be understood as "reflexion" or
"mirror reflexion". The foot (as well as hands and
face) can in fact be considered like the body's mirror, like
a miniature map of the different organs. The foot is the richest
part of the body in nerve endings (72,000), which with the
hand, occupies the biggest space in the cerebral cortex. The
foot also has an extensive vascular and circulatory system.
Reflexology allows reaching all body organs, to rebalance
them and stimulate their functions. It helps to eliminate
toxins and is also effective against nervous tension, depression
and chronic exhaustion.
Reflexology can calm the rheumatism of the elderly as well
as pacify babies.
Generally speaking, reflexology improves blood and lymphatic
circulation, reinforces the immune system, favours food assimilation
and toxin elimination, but does not cure serious illness.
One of the most remarkable effects of reflexology lays in
its capacity to reduce anxiety and pain associated with pathological
conditions like cancer. Studies show its effectiveness in
reducing stress related symptoms causing migraines, muscular
tension and digestive problems. Other research reveals its
positive effect in relieving numerous ailments.
